CRISTINA FOWLER

Cristina Fowler is an experienced administrator and project manager. She is currently serving as the Director of Budgets and Special Projects for University Relations and Public Affairs at New York University. However, she began her career working with organizations like New York Stage and Film and Disney Theatrical Productions, and hopes to return to the theater industry someday. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Performing Arts Administration from NYU. Cristina is committed to integrity and excellence in every pursuit. She currently resides in New Jersey with her family and can be reached at cristina.f.fowler@gmail.com.

Born in New York City and raised in Miami, Cristina has spent much of her life going back and forth between the two cities. Immediately following earning her undergraduate degree, she went to work for the Walt Disney Company, first at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and later for Disney Theatrical Group in NYC.

Cristina saw her first Broadway show - Cats at the Winter Garden Theater - in middle school and has been passionate about musical theater ever since. Upon moving to New York in 2004, Cristina worked three jobs simultaneously, including an unpaid internship at New York Stage and Film that became a full-time position in Company Management during its 2005 Powerhouse Season at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie. And during her time at Disney Theatrical Productions, she contributed to the Broadway openings of Tarzan, Mary Poppins, and The Little Mermaid. In addition, she assisted with Spanish and French translations of The Lion King for international productions and performed research for numerous shows early in development.

While her next two positions took her out of the theater world, they have been instrumental in Cristina's professional growth. Over the past several years, Cristina has been able to hone her communication (both in writing and interpersonally with a wide range of personalities) and project management skills, assisting with large-scale event production and successful fundraisers.

Besides being an avid reader and having a slight notebook addiction, she also enjoys trying new restaurants, theme parks, and traveling. And when she's not scouring the internet for deals, she can be found enjoying time in the backyard with her husband of over 15 years and two very active children.
